November 20, 2015	Leap Agility Club of Central Mass agility trials - W. Springfield, MA: It was Margaret & Dazzle showing in Novice Jumpers today and not only did they earn a qualifying leg, they did so with a 3rd place finish! After the run, Dazzle said that she "did it for Bailey!" Keep it up Dazzle.
November 1, 2015	Back Mountain KC dog shows - Bloomsburg, PA: It was a big weekend for Margaret and Dazzle! Today they earned a bumper leg in Novice Obedience and as well as the third leg in Rally Advanced, and with that comes a new title: Breezy Hill's Heart N Soul of Islandflats CD "RA" NJP CGC. Tripperwanted to watch, but he was strutting his stuff with Terry in the conformation ring. There were no points for Tripper as he was the only class dog in the Field Spaniels, but he gained some valuable ring experience. We couldn't be happier for Dazzle and Tripper!
October 31, 2015	Back Mountain KC dog shows - Bloomsburg, PA: Islandflats receives a treat this Halloween as Dazzle enters the obedience ring and earns a qualifying score and the third leg of her Novice Obedience. With that comes a new title: Breezy Hill's Heart N Soul of Islandflats "CD" RN NJP CGC. It didn't end there! A short time later, Dazzle went into the Rally Obedience ring where she also earned a qualifying score and the second leg of her Rally Advanced title. Margaret handled Dazzle at both venues and they did great together. All that training does pay off!
October 10, 2015	Palisades KC dog show - Augusta, NJ: Dazzle was awarded Winner's Bitch for one point under judge David Kittredge. She was so pretty in the show ring! Later the same day and at the same venue, both Dazzle and Tripper passed the Canine Good Citizen tests and they were both awarded the designation: CGC. So Dazzle earns a new title and she is now known as Breezy Hill's Heart N Soul of Islandflats RN NJP "CGC". At 7 months of age, Tripper earns his first title and he is now known as Nautica's Day Tripper "CGC". An exciting day at Islandflats!
August 29, 2015	Newton KC dog show - Augusta, NJ: Dazzle shows for the third day in a row and once again she is awarded Winner's Bitch for one point, under judge Janet Lobb. During the past three days, Dazzle and Tripper collected an array of ribbons, rosettes and medallions. We're so proud of both of them, and we're also proud of Crystal and Lylah for their support. Toys for all!
August 27-28, 2015	Augusta, NJ Dog Shows: Now he's old enough, and it was Tripper's first two dog shows, and our six month old puppy collected a pile of ribbons this week. He earned two BOBs, one Best Puppy, one best Owner Handled and he got a whole chorus of "awww, so cute" from the spectators at ringside. OK, so he was the only Field Spaniel entered in both contests (no points), but he really was cute!
August 28, 2015	Newton KC dog show - Augusta, NJ: Once again Dazzle is awarded Winner's Bitch for one point under judge Houston Clark. Margaret and Dazzle were also awarded best owner handler. She's moving nicely and showing well right now, so who knows?
August 27, 2015	Kennel Club of Northern New Jersey dog show - Augusta, NJ: It's Dazzle in conformation today as she and Margaret are awarded Winner's Bitch for one point under judge Marjorie Martorella. She was so pretty in the ring today, and we're hoping that she can get some more points in the future.
August 23, 2015	Dog Agility Club of Long Island - Summer Obedience Trials PT 2 - Bay Shore NY: It's our 28th Wedding Anniversary today, and Dazzle gave us a wonderful gift by earning another qualifying score in Novice Obedience; but this time with a third place placement! Her performance was cleaner today and more refined, so after collecting her rosette, Dazzle got a whole bunch of extra treats. Well deserved Dazzle!
August 22, 2015	Dog Agility Club of Long Island - Summer Obedience Trials PT 1 - Bay Shore NY: Margaret and Dazzle earn their first obedience qualifying score in the Novice class! She had a few points deducted for lagging in the heeling patterns, but Dazzle did really well and took home the green ribbon. This is the first of three qualifying scores needed for the CD obedience title. Yay Dazzle!
August 7, 2015	Penn Ridge KC dog show - Harrisburg, PA: A Special Beginner Puppy Attraction was held for puppies aged 4-6 months, and we thought, "What better place to enter Tripper in his first ever dog show!" So Tripper and Margaret easily won BOB for puppy Field Spaniels, as there were no other entries, but in the Puppy Sporting Group, judge Carol Sommerfelt awarded Tripper a Group 3rd Beginner Puppy Placement! He was a little fidgety when he first entered the ring, but afterwards he showed beautifully with a big grin on his face the whole time that he strutted his stuff. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come, but we'll take things slowly for now.
May 17, 2015	Dog Agility Club of Long Island obedience trials - Bayshore, NY: Today we entered Dazzle in Rally at the advanced level - her first time. With a score of 98, Margaret & Dazzle earn a first place finish, and their first leg in rally advanced. She's just getting started, but if this keeps up it won't be long before Dazzle earns another title in Rally Obedience. Keep up the good work!
May 11, 2015	A Big Day at Islandflats! Today we welcome a new puppy to our family. He's a Field Spaniel: Nautica's Day Tripper, aka Tripper. It was a long ride home for our young boy. He arrives to us from Indianapolis, Indiana, via the 2015 Field Spaniel National Specialty in Rock Island, IL. Many thanks to Danielle Brewer for breeding him, and Sue Meachem and Lori Carver for caring for our puppy boy during his long journey to New York. Read more about Tripper on "Our Dogs" pages.
April 7, 2015	Another Birthday Party at Islandflats! Today we celebrate Lylah's 9th birthday. We know that our dogs don't quite understand all the fuss, but there's no doubt that they're all enjoying the Frosty Paws we brought home, as well as the new toy that Dazzle keeps taking from Lylah whenever she's not looking. And Lylah isn't complaining about the extra attention either. Happy 9th birthday to Lylah, her sister Piper, and in our hearts at the Rainbow Bridge, CJ and Rasta.
March 14, 2015	Staten Island Companion DTC Rally trials - Staten Island, NY: These trials were unique in that the SICDTC held two Rally trials today, and Dazzle couldn't resist entering both of them. In the first trial, Dazzle (handled by Margaret) scored a 91, earned a qualifying leg and actually finished in 5th place. In the second trial, they scored a 97 and finished in 3rd place! That's the final leg needed for a new Rally title, and now Dazzle is known as: *Breezy Hill's Heart N Soul of Islandflats RN* NJP**. Dazzle is ready to bump up to the more advanced levels. We're looking forward to it!
February 21, 2015	We're celebrating Dazzle's birthday today! Our 3 year old girl has grown to be a beautiful young lady, and she continues to train in several dog sports. New toys again at Islandflats, as we wish Dazzle and her littermates a very happy birthday!
February 8, 2015	Suffolk Obedience Training Club obedience trials - Bayshore, NY: First time in the Rally Obedience ring for Dazzle today. With a score of 96, Dazzle earned her first qualifying title leg, and a third place finish in her class! She's still training hard, and we know that if she keeps up the hard work there will be more successes to follow. Good job Dazzle!
February 1, 2015	It's a celebration at Islandflats today. It's Crystal's 13th birthday! We're so blessed that Crystal has the same happy attitude that she did when we brought her home from upstate NY almost 13 years ago. She got a few new toys today, and Lylah and Dazzle eagerly showed Crystal the finer points of playing with them. Happy Birthday sweet girl! We love you Crystal!
