November 27, 2006	Her first show! Seven and one-half month old LYLAH, Islandflats American Pie strutted her stuff in the conformation ring (with Margaret) at the Holyoke Kennel Club show, in West Springfield MA. Ever so nervous, our young lady finished second in the Puppy Six to Nine Month Bitches class under judge Dr. Elizabeth F. Trainor. A little more practice and experience, and Lylah might be earning championship points before long ...
November 26, 2006	Springfield Kennel Club dog show, West Springfield MA: In yet another display of versitility, CRYSTAL stepped into the Rally ring with a different handler (Terry), and she easily earned another leg towards her Rally Obedience (Novice) title. That's two legs down, one to go!
November 24, 2006	Windham County Kennel Club dog show, West Springfield MA: Not satisfied with just one title, CRYSTAL applies her skills in the Rally Obedience ring. Today, she walked into the ring with Margaret and they walked out together with Crystal's first leg in Rally Novice. Good job!
October 14, 2006	Sussex County Fairgrounds; Augusta, NJ: At the Palisades Kennel Club Dog Show, BAILEY earned his second leg in Rally Novice! Once again, Terry handled him. One more leg needed for Bailey's first title! Margaret celebrated by buying herself a $30 T-shirt. Oye, vendors at dog shows ...
September 24, 2006	Northwestern Connecticut Dog Club show, Goshen, CT: BAILEY, K'Mander's GoodFella Bailey got his first leg in Rally Obedience (Novice)! We are so proud of him, and Terry handled him to that first leg! As a gift, the Northeast Flatcoated Retriever Club gave out lovely glass mugs in honor of their 30th Anniversary and Bailey was the highest scoring flatcoat in that class! Way to go Bailey and Terry!
September 14, 2006	We wish our boy, LOGAN, and his littermates a very happy 2nd birthday! Happy Birthday to Logan and the K'Mander "I" litter!
September 9-10, 2006	After a relatively quiet spring and summer, we stepped back into the show ring with LOGAN this weekend. On Saturday, September 9th at Somerset Hills KC dog show he won the open class and went RWD under Ms. M. Ann Schwartz. On Sunday, September 10th at the Westchester KC, Logan celebrated his 2nd birthday a few days early by going WD/BOW for 2 more points under Dr. Robert A. Indelgia. He also attained his Canine Good Citizen designation! He now has 7 points towards his championship ... now it's time to look for those majors!
April 1, 2006	Sand & Sea Kennel Club dog show, Berkeley Township, NJ: LOGAN got one more point towards his championship by going WD/BW/BEST OF BREED over a special! Too bad the bitch major broke today. The judge was Ms. Laura Dedering.
February 1, 2006	Happy 4th Birthday to CRYSTAL and her littermates, The TLC Starlight litter!
January 15, 2006	K-9 Obedience Training Club of Essex County, NJ: Our FIRST AKC TITLE EVER!!!!!! TLC Starlite's First Gleaming,*CD* CGC,CRYSTAL, received her 3rd and final leg for her first AKC obedience title, CD! She did a great job and placed 4th in her class at this trial! She was handed a wonderful 4th place rosette to commemorate this achievement! Side Note: That morning we woke up to a few inches of ice and snow. We weren't going to go, but we were awake, and decided to take the trip since we had an early ringtime anyway. I had a long talk with Crystal on the way there asking her to do a great job because we were going a long way in lousy weather. Boy, she really did listen!

November 6, 2005	Back Mountain Kennel Club dog show, Bloomsburg, PA: TLC Starlite's First Gleaming, CGC, CRYSTAL, received her2nd CD leg today with a 2nd Place qualifying score! NOTE: 2 Legs down, 1 to go!
October 15, 2005	Palisades Kennel Club Show, Augusta, NJ: LOGAN was WINNERS DOG and BEST OF BREED for another point today under Mrs. Christina Hubbell! NOTE: The show obviously did go on after about 8 consecutive days of rain in the tri-state area.
October 2, 2005	Westbury Kennel Club dog show, Oyster Bay, NY:CRYSTAL, TLC Starlite's First Gleaming, CGC received her third point today by going WB/BW under Mrs. Robert C (Carolyn) Thomas. LOGAN was WD (but no points were available). Terry took Logan into the ring today! NOTE: To date, Crystal and Logan both have three points towards their championships. Who said a little competition amongst family is a bad thing? :-)
September 10, 2005	In NJ at Somerset Hills KC dog show, NJ: LOGAN celebrated his first birthday a bit early by goingWD/BW for 2 points under Dr. Donald Sturz! Way to go Logan!
September 4, 2005	CRYSTAL, TLC Starlite's First Gleaming, CGC, wasWB and BOS under Desmond Murphy for another point towards her championship. Of course, she was handled by Margaret....:-)
July 10, 2005	We would like to wish our eldest flat-coat, BAILEY, K'Mander's GoodFella Bailey a very happy 5th birthday!
July 10, 2005	West Springfield, MA: the Big E : LOGAN was Reserve Winners Dog to his larger brother, littermate, SNITCH at the Springfield KC show under judge Shiela DiNardo.
May 29, 2005	Plainfield KC dog show in Freehold, NJ: the Mid-Atlantic Flat-Coated Retriever Club held a supported entry with sweepstakes. We are proud to announce that LOGAN was Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Sweeps! The Sweeps judge was Col. Johnathan C. Chase.
May 12, 2005	Ladies Kennel Association dog show, Oyster Bay, NY: CRYSTAL, TLC Starlite's First Gleaming, CGC, was awarded WINNERS BITCH (WB) and BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX (BOS) under Dr. Jose Luis Payro for herVERY FIRST POINT! At the same show, Logan, K'Mander Island Runner won the 6-9 month puppy class and was RWD and BEST OF BREED Puppy! Both dogs were handled by Margaret.
Apr 3 - Apr 8, 2005	We had a great time at the Flat Coated Retriever Society of America's National Specialty in Perry, GA! In obedience, CRYSTAL, TLC Starlite's First Gleaming, CGC, got her first CD leg and a 4th place rosettein Obedience Novice A under Judge Gregory Feathers! In conformation, she also took home a 4th Place rosette in the American-Bred Bitches class under Judge Nancy Liebes. LOGAN, K'Mander Island Runner, came home with a 3rd Place rosette in his 6-9 month puppy dog class also under Judge Nancy Liebes! It was well worth the long drive to Georgia and it was great sharing those moments with our dog's breeders and all of our friends! We will never forget it! Many thanks to both judges!
March 27, 2005	LOGAN took Winners Dog (WD) for his very first point under Judge David Flanagan at the Twin Brooks KC dog show inEdison, NJ! He thought it would help his cause by facing in the opposite direction when the judge pointed to him as WD...silly kid!
March 26, 2005	At the New Brunswick KC in Edison, NJ, K'mander Island Runner, LOGAN, took Reserve Winners Dog (RWD) and Best Puppy under Douglas Johnson at his very first show, wiggly butt
March 20, 2005	K'mander Island Runner, LOGAN, (Fling X Dylan) took BEST OF BREED and then 3rd Place in the Puppy Sporting Group at a local match here on Long Island!
